 Blueberry Detox Healthy Smoothie is a berry-filled creation that not only tastes great, but will keep you satisfied and feeling full for long.PLUS it reduces cellulite!Blueberries enhance collagen production, creating new skin tissue, says Dr. Shemek. And that improves skin’s tone and texture,but that’s not all.These dark berries also contain antioxidants, which break down fat attached to the connective tissue.Less fat means fewer bumps!

All you need to make this berry-filled goodness are the following things:

  • Blueberries– are great antioxidants that help in decreasing the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and overall mortality. The blueberries may also promote hair and skin health, increased energy, and overall lower weight.Use frozen blueberries and they will give the smoothie that thickness we’re after.
  • Coconut Water– while still high in sugar at least it’s natural sugar,(i use this instead of orange juice)Coconut water is also chock full of necessary minerals like magnesium and potassium and serves as a great alternative to those high-fructose drinks.
  • Bananas– are great as they have potassium and  loaded with manganese which is important for healthy brain function.They are also naturally sweet and that’s an added bonus.The fiber in bananas also help with constipation.
  • Cilantro– is a good source for the minerals like potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, and magnesium. Rich in healthy bone supporting vitamin K. Anti-inflammatory properties. Helps reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. Helps improve sleep quality.
  • Avocado -(one of my favourite ingredients), are great for a detox smoothie because avocados are high in healthy fats, and research suggests they contain chemicals that might slow liver damage. And they’re also rich in fiber, which can help with weight control.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • handful fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 frozen banana , cut into pieces for easy blending
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 cup coconut water

Method

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth. Serve right away.
