Calming Melon Smoothie

Calming Melon Smoothie  is a delicious, sweet drink ideal for a relaxing day. We all love a relaxing time after a full day’s of work and running around. This naturally soothing and refreshing smoothie also has mint, which settles the stomach and makes it a perfect drink to have after a day of eating foods that are high in processed fats and sugar.

Ingredients Benefits

Melon contains potassium that increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain, which induces a calming sensation. It also reduces the presence of stress hormones in the body, that will then reduce symptoms of anxiety. Most melons are quite high in vitamins C and A, which are vital for the immune system and for healthy skin.

Lavender is a great plant that has healing powers for reducing stress. The famous relaxing effects of lavender are real and could even be used medically to treat anxiety, new research suggests. From blooming gardens to aromatherapy oils, people have long claimed that lavender has calming and relaxing benefits. With all its great benefits, pregnant women should be careful when drinking lavender due to its ability to mimic the estrogen hormone. It’s always best to consult your physician before consuming drinks containing lavender when pregnant or breastfeeding.

I am loving this combination already!
